Northern Westchester Hospital
One in five children experience an emotional, mental or behavioral health disorder every year. To address this, Northern Westchester Hospital and Northwell Health are increasing access to behavioral health care for children and adolescents across Westchester. Our goal is to enhance a system of care–from education, prevention to treatment–that will address care gaps and enhance the well-being of the youth in our community.
Phelps Hospital
Phelps Hospital launched the Westchester Community Paramedicine program in 2024 in partnership with Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Northwell Emergency Telehealth Services (NETS), and the Center for Emergency Medical Services. Community paramedicine aims to revolutionize patient care by connecting individuals to high quality medical services delivered by trained community paramedics who operate under the supervision of a physician in the comfort of their home. The community paramedics screen, assess, and treat patients, who may not need emergency or hospital care in their own environment. Leveraging telehealth services, the patients and community paramedics are connected to a physician in the Northwell Health Physician Partners network or NETS, ensuring medical expertise is never far away. The program expands healthcare access to care for homebound seniors and other vulnerable members of our community.
